The Movement project started soon after a trip to Australia, reflecting on how many Aboriginal paintings depict a journey — sometimes spiritual, sometimes physical through the outback. The first works used a few recurring symbols, then all symbolism was discarded so the prints would not become a pastiche of that tradition.

What remained were waves, swirls, and drips. The realisation was that the true movement was not the pictured journey, but the artist holding the rubber squeegee, each pass over the mesh forcing liquid onto the paper.

Movement II repeats that same action, layer upon layer, changing only which colour is added.
